Birmingham Holocaust Education Center

The BHEC organizes state-wide teacher workshops, houses a 2,000+ volume Holocaust Studies Library, and maintains an exhibit featuring the lives and experiences of Holocaust survivors who chose to make Alabama their home after the war. This beloved symbol of Birmingham and the nation’s iron and steel industry stands preserved and proud as the centerpiece of it rehabilitated and expanded park, now referred to as Vulcan Park and Museum.
